"God is as dependent on you as you are on Him, because His Autonomy encompasses yours, and is therefore incomplete without it”  A Course in Miracles (ACIM)

There are times when you can find yourself so entangled in debt and problems that you don’t know how to escape.

Betsy Broke: Tell me about that. Then I keep wondering how on earth I got here and how am I going to get out.

Robbie Rich: That is where fresh start comes in.

Silver: When you are in debt, and you want to get out, it is easy to want to keep getting into more debt in order to get out. It actually doesn’t make sense but people do it all the time.

Betsy Broke: What then would be the safest way to deal with debt?

Silver: Of course setting up a debt management program is the first thing you need to do, but the most important thing is to make sure that you don’t keep getting entangled in the debt. You actually might have to let go of the particular item that may course the entire ship to sink.

Betsy Broke: I get it. Instead of getting into more debt in order to rescue my car from being repossessed, it is better to let it go and leave my other assets in tact.

Silver: Yes. People would robe their house into consumer debt by taking the equity in their home to cover consumer debt. That is counter productive especially if the reason that keeps you from being able to pay your consumer debt will persist. It will affect your ability to repay your mortgage, which may leave you in bigger problems than you have imagined.

Robby Rich: So sometimes you must learn to let go. Let go of the ego that keeps you entangled in items that are sinking your ship. The is nothing wrong in selling the big car and buying the smaller one so that you can breath, and then when you have gathered your strength, you can go back to your big life style again.

Silver: You shall have gathered a lot of wisdom through that experience, and besides, you may have saved an assets called credit rating. If you wait for too long, you may get in such trouble that your credit rating actually plummets, which destroys your chances of borrowing in the future.

Betsy Broke: I guess it is important to always know what is enough. It is also important to know when to seek advice. It is also important to know that the future will always be brighter if I don’t darken it today.
